FEBCO PRESSURE VACUUM BREAKER
With this vacuum breaker, the irrigation main can remain pressurized at all times: i.e., supply water pressure may exist at all times on both the inlet and outlet sides of a pressure-type vacuum breaker. However, back-pressure is prohibited. Back pressure is any pressure against the outlet side of the vacuum breaker exceeding the supply pressure. (standard system)
FEBCO REDUCED PRESSURE DOUBLE CHECK AND PVB ASSEMBLIES
Uses: All health hazard (toxic) connections including: irrigation systems, hospitals, morgues, medical/dental facilities, industrial/chemical plants and boiler feeds.
The Reduced Pressure assembly can be used with continuous pressure and back-pressure. It is the only type of mechanical device that is generally accepted for hazardous backflow conditions.
Febco Pressure Vacuum Breakers are mounted outside and along your house. A proper installation is when the backflow preventor is 1’ above the highest head in the yard. A “blow-out” faucet is located before this device for winterization.
